Why You Should Visit

For two nights only, Sorakuen, the Japanese garden in Kobe's Yamate district, stays open after dark, with candles and stone lanterns lighting its stroll garden and pond. From 19:00 the piano-and-shakuhachi duo Piano Shakuhachi INFINITY plays in front of the former Kodera family stable, free with garden admission. THE SORAKUEN sells food and drinks from 17:00 to 20:30. It is about a 5-minute walk from Kenchomae Station, so you can drop in after work.
