Why You Should Visit

About 400 fireworks light up the night sky over Suzurandai in Kobe's Kita Ward. The show starts at 20:00 and lasts roughly 10 minutes — now in its 7th year, kept going by local business sponsors for the neighborhood. Suzuran Park itself is the launch site and has no viewing area, so people watch from home balconies or while out on a walk, keeping their distance from the park. A quiet 10 minutes of summer, far from the crowds of the big festivals.
