Why You Should Visit
Taiko no Yudonokan preserves the remains of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Yuyama villa — uncovered during repairs after the 1995 earthquake — under a roof, open to visitors. This exhibition adds panels on the excavation itself along with finds from the Yuyama site. You look down onto the steam bath and rock bath remains, which makes it easy to picture the kind of bathing Hideyoshi actually did at Arima. Admission is ¥200, small enough to fold into a walk around the onsen town.
