Why You Should Visit

A collaboration between the TV anime Ranma 1/2 and Arima Onsen, titled "Musabetsu Kakutō-ryū Training Journey: Ranma 1/2 Comes to Arima." The centrepiece is a tenugui stamp rally: buy a tenugui towel at Mitsumori Honten and complete it by stamping it at five spots around the hot-spring town. Taking a day-trip bath at Kin-no-Yu, Gin-no-Yu, Taiko-no-Yu or Tosen Goshobo, or spending ¥1,000 or more at about 46 participating shops, gets you a collaboration card whose design differs by place. Banners and life-size character panels line the streets, and there are collaboration menus and limited goods too. A good fit for fans who want to combine a soak and a food stroll with collecting.
