Venue & access: Michi-no-Eki Kobe Fruit & Flower Park Ozo 15 minutes by taxi from Kobe Electric Railway 'Okaba Station' or JR 'Sanda Station'. 35 minutes by Shinki Bus (Route 38) from JR 'Sannomiya Station'. Immediately after Rokko-Kita Toll Road 'Ozo IC'. Free parking available (approx. 1,000 spaces).

Why You Should Visit

A large-scale illumination that runs for nearly four months from autumn into winter at Kobe Fruit & Flower Park in the hills of Kita Ward. The palace-style buildings and German-style streetscape are wrapped in LEDs, with light tunnels and vast ground displays laid out as a walking course. Away from the city lights, the night sky stays dark and the colours read cleanly — a winter staple for families and couples, and easy to reach by car.

Light Monkey Show (every day of the run)

At the Kobe Monkeys Theater: 17:00 / 18:00 / 18:45 / 19:30 / 20:15
Monkeys perform to light and music. Pay what you like (tip jar)

Tickets

Priority tickets let you enter ahead of the general queue on busy nights
On 31 December regular tickets are not valid — a dedicated countdown ticket is required (adults ¥8,000, children ¥4,000, pets ¥500). Doors open at 19:30 and lights come on at 20:00 that night
Sold on Asoview, Rakuten Travel and Trip.com
A direct round-trip shuttle bus runs from Sannomiya (adults, junior high and up, from ¥14,800)

Does it run in the rain?

Yes, it goes ahead rain or shine. The route is outdoors, so bring rain gear.

Can I go by car?

Yes — it is right off the Ozo IC on the Rokko-Kita Toll Road, with about 1,000 free parking spaces. Weekends and the New Year period draw queues, so earlier in the evening moves faster.

Are pets allowed?

Yes, with a ¥500 pet ticket. Follow the venue rules, including keeping pets on a lead.
