Only the special class "Learn from a chef: the secret of good taste" (11:30–13:00, doors 11:00, instructor Koji Ishitaka, 500 yen, 20 places first-come, bring slippers) required booking from 9:00 on August 1 by phone, web or at the counter, and it is now full.

Why You Should Visit

A one-day indoor market in Shin-Nagata built around everyday life. Independent bookshops, galleries and small publishers from across Kansai bring books and craft goods, joined by a croissant specialist, a patisserie and a small-batch coffee roaster. There's a game corner with a shooting gallery, superball scooping and can-badge making, plus a stamp rally around three points in the building. Admission is free, and being indoors it runs rain or shine.

The venue is indoors on the first floor of the Shin-Nagata Joint Government Building, so the market runs as usual in the rain.
