Why You Should Visit
A yosakoi dance festival on Kobe's waterfront at Meriken Park. Around 60 teams and some 3,000 dancers from across Japan perform from morning to evening across three stages (Main, Sub and Parade). Highlights include the mass "sou-odori" group dance and the evening finale with grand-prize performances. Fireworks and an SNS photo contest are also planned. Admission is free with no booking needed—enjoy the powerful group dancing up close in the sea breeze. Easy to drop by for families and sightseers alike.
