Summer Evenings at Suma Rikyu Park 2026

Why You Should Visit

Suma Rikyu Park normally closes at 17:00, but for three evenings it stays open until 21:00. You can set off handheld sparklers at the Fountain Plaza, while festival stalls near the Rest House offer superball scooping, a shooting gallery, takoyaki and more. Bring your own sparklers — buckets of water are provided on site. With the fountains lit up after sunset, it's an easy, low-key way to spend the last evenings of summer, and the early hours suit families with small children.

FAQ

Are sparklers provided?

No — bring your own handheld sparklers, plus a bucket, a lighter, a rubbish bag and a torch (water for putting them out is provided on site). Launch-type fireworks are not permitted.

Do I need a reservation?

No. Just pay the admission fee and enter during opening hours. Last entry is 20:20.

What happens if it rains?

In bad weather the event is cancelled and the park closes at 17:00 as usual. Check the official website or social media for the decision.

Can I come by car?

There is a park car park, but it gets very busy during the event. The park recommends arriving early or using public transport.
