Why You Should Visit
A Halloween event at Re.Nova Kitayama in northern Kyoto that changes character between day and night. The free daytime session is family-friendly, with circus shows and a costume parade for dogs. After dark, zombies roam the grounds, a 360-degree horror live show plays out around the audience, a café turns into a mini haunted house, and the "Dark Drive" puts you inside an abandoned car. The horror side is produced by Hakutoraza, a Kansai-based horror production team. Come by day with kids, or at night if you enjoy a proper scare.
