Why You Should Visit

The Otoasobi Project, a Kobe improvisation collective that includes musicians with intellectual disabilities, brings an open improv workshop and a screening of its documentary Whereabouts of Sound to a mixed-use building in Kobe's Nagata district. The workshop takes place next to a climbing gym on the fifth floor and is open to anyone, with or without a disability, of any age and with no musical experience needed; instruments are provided. Later, a white-walled gallery on the ground floor shows the 2022 film (107 min.) about the group. Good for anyone curious to try making music on the spot, or to see how this ensemble works.
