Why You Should Visit

One of Nagata Ward's four big seasonal festivals, this autumn event is run mainly by the Nagata Jinja-mae shopping street and reaches its 23rd edition in 2026. Based at Sandor North Plaza, it offers a neighbourhood quiz walk where correct answers earn sweets, a mochi-pounding session, a Kids' Halloween where children in costume collect treats, and street Electone and piano — all free to join. From 2pm a new feature, the Betsubara Cafe & Bar, serves tea and drinks with food from the street's shops until 8pm. Families can come in the afternoon, and adults can drop by after work in the evening.
