Kyoto Art Craft Market 2026

Why You Should Visit

A three-day market at the Museum of Kyoto where young artists and craftspeople sell work they have made themselves. Seventy-three booths covering pottery, glass, metalwork, woodwork, lacquer, leather, dyed textiles, prints and illustration fill the Annex Hall, the courtyard and the museum's Roji shop lane. Graduates of the Kyoto Institute of Traditional Crafts (TASK) also demonstrate traditional techniques, so you can chat with the makers while picking out tableware or accessories. Entry is free, making it an easy stop on a walk along Sanjo-dori.
