Why You Should Visit
A free waterfront event held every Marine Day at Naka Pier in the Port of Kobe. Patrol and inspection boats operated by public agencies—vessels you normally can't board—open their decks to the public for onboard tours. Participating organizations run PR and hands-on corners where you can learn how the sea and ships work. Easy to drop into on a family stroll along the waterfront, it's a fun summer outing for children. A Kobe summer tradition running since 1990.
