Why You Should Visit

A two-day hands-on festival at Kobe's waterfront Meriken Park, built for children but open to everyone. Zones cover job experiences, hands-on AI, culture, sports, and free play, with special booths including an inflatable water slide, a go-kart circuit and pony rides. Food trucks, a stage, a disaster-preparedness zone, a Japanese festival-stall zone and a PET EXPO area fill the park as well. Admission is free; this is the third Kobe edition.

All experience and special booths are first-come on the day; no advance booking

Empty drink cans are collected at HQ; all recycling proceeds go to the Kodomo Ouen Project

Is there an admission fee?

Admission is free. Some booths charge for materials or specific activities.

Is it suitable for small children?

The event is built around activities for children. Booths such as the inflatable water slide and pony rides are planned, though age and height limits vary by booth.

Do I need a reservation?

No reservations are needed for entry or for the activity booths — everything is handled on the day. Entry may be limited when crowded, and each visit is capped at roughly 30 minutes per time slot.

What happens if it rains?

It takes place outdoors, so parts of the programme may be cancelled or changed in bad weather. Check the organizer's official announcement on the day.

How many food trucks will there be?

The official list has 46 trucks: 28 on both days, 10 on Sep 12 only and 8 on Sep 13 only. Expect takoyaki, fried chicken, kebab, baby castella, shaved ice and more.
