Price & booking: Single program: ¥1,000 general / ¥500 students in advance (¥1,500 / ¥1,000 on the day). One-day pass ¥2,500 (advance reservation only, limited). Pay in cash at the venue on the day. Advance reservations are open until 23:59 on Wed, Nov 11 via the reservation form, closing early if sold out. Only single-program tickets are sold on the day. Reservations are cancelled automatically if you have not checked in 5 minutes before the start.
Venue & access: Shinkaichi Art Hiroba, 2F Hall About a 5-minute walk from Exit 8 of Shinkaichi Station (Kobe Rapid Line), or about 10 minutes from the Viera Kobe exit of JR Kobe Station.

Why You Should Visit

Running since 2019 as a launchpad for emerging directors, this festival of independent films returns for its 8th edition. Over two days at the hall of Shinkaichi Art Hiroba (formerly Kobe Art Village Center), short and mid-length films selected through open submissions are screened in six programs. The final program on day two is a new Japan–Korea exchange showcase, featuring two Korean shorts recommended by Korean film festivals and screening in Japan for the first time, plus a short produced by the festival itself. Tickets start at ¥1,000 per program, so you can drop in for a single block. A good pick for anyone who wants to see new filmmakers' work on a big screen.
