In Kobe's Old Foreign Settlement, there's a small café that only those in the know can find.

The Chartered Building on Kaigandori — home to a visvim store. Head up to the second floor and you'll find "little cloud coffee": a quiet space with just two sofa seats. If you don't know it's there, you'd never think to go up.

Walk through the visvim shop and take the stairs up to the second floor. Unless you came with purpose, you'd never make it here.

Just two sofas. If both are free when you arrive, consider yourself lucky.

Quiet, natural light, nowhere to be. That's all it takes.

The coffee is an original roast. The latte art is careful enough to make you pause before drinking. Banana bread and other light food options are also available. A perfect stop if you're looking for a quiet coffee break in the Old Foreign Settlement area.

Takeaway is also available — good for a slow walk through the Settlement with coffee in hand.

Ideal for solo visitors or anyone who wants to step away from the crowds and slow down. One of those Kobe spots worth keeping in your back pocket.
