Why You Should Visit

All 10 stations on the Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line become gallery space, with animals as the theme. Ten artists—including Masayuki Matsumoto, Saya Kubota, and Kaede Nambu—each take charge of one station, placing work inside concourses people pass through every day. Viewing is free, and some works can be seen from outside the ticket gates. A QR code beside each piece links to a page where the work can be purchased, and a stamp rally covers all 10 stations. Getting off station by station turns a routine commute into a walk worth taking.
