Why You Should Visit

An exhibition set in the display cases of all 10 stations on the Kobe Municipal Subway Kaigan Line. This round's theme is "scenes": ten artists each take one station, from Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae to Shin-Nagata. The work ranges from paintings to a sculpture meant to be viewed from all 360 degrees, textiles printed on lace curtain, and oil paintings of cracks in asphalt. Viewing is free, and a QR code beside each piece links to a page where it can be bought. Hopping off station by station, you also watch the line shift from the downtown core of Sannomiya to the old neighborhoods of Nagata.

Is there an admission fee?

Viewing is free. You will need a train ticket for stations where works are displayed inside the gates.

How long does it take to see all the stations?

The ride from Sannomiya-Hanadokeimae to Shin-Nagata takes about 17 minutes, with trains roughly every 15 minutes during the day. If you get off at every station, allow 2–3 hours including waits.

Can I buy the artworks?

Yes. A QR code beside each work links to the Art Scenes purchase site.
