Why You Should Visit
For one day only, the City of Kobe closes the road in front of the D51 steam locomotive outside JR Kobe Station and turns it into a lawn as part of a pilot project. Entry is free: pick up craft beer and dishes made with Hyogo ingredients and relax on the grass. The Ujikawa Music Festival, held the same day, also runs a stage in front of the D51, and there is an on-the-spot prize draw and a hop aroma corner. It sits right outside the station, so it is easy to drop by while shopping or strolling around Harborland.
