By public transport, a direct Shinki Bus from the Kobe Sannomiya Bus Terminal takes about 45 min.

Why You Should Visit

An outdoor market bringing together handmade crafts, farm-direct produce and food trucks. It tours venues across Hyogo — Maiko Park, Kobe Port Island Civic Square and others — more than ten times a year, concentrated in spring and autumn. Alongside one-of-a-kind wood, fabric and leather goods, floral art, houseplants and pet accessories, you'll find farm stalls, organic food and kitchen cars, plus a free live stage with music, dance and street performance. The three-day Maiko Park edition draws around 25,000 visitors, and you can spread a picnic sheet on the lawn with the Akashi Kaikyo Bridge in view. Each venue has its own scale and mood, so pick the edition easiest for you to reach.

Booths are set up in a special area of Parking Lot 2 (P2) at Nesta Resort Kobe (894-60 Hosokawa-cho Taruho, Miki)
Stall slots per day: 20 kitchen cars and food tents and 50 retail stalls (festival games and workshops included). The stage has slots for 24 acts, and around 8,000 visitors are expected over the two days
Entry to the grounds and the stage are both free. The car parks hold about 3,000 vehicles, and the first 2 hours are listed as free
Held in light rain. It is cancelled if a weather warning is in force at 22:00 the night before; the decision is posted around 23:00 that night on the official site and the official Instagram (@kirara_marche)

Is there an admission fee?

Every venue is free to enter, and watching the stage is free too — you only pay for food and goods. The Nesta Resort Kobe edition on October 31–November 1 is free for both entry and the stage, and parking is listed as free for the first 2 hours. At the Flower Center edition on November 14–15 the market itself is free, but entering the Flower Center gardens costs ¥550 for adults (free for high school students and younger).

Where is the next edition held?

The venue changes each time. For the rest of the 2026–27 season the order is: Oct 31–Nov 1 Nesta Resort Kobe → Nov 6–8 AEON Yashiro → Nov 14–15 Flower Center → Dec 12–13 AEON Mall Kasai Hojo. The Port Island edition planned for Nov 7–8 has been cancelled.

Is it held if it rains?

It goes ahead in light rain and is cancelled in stormy weather, with no rain date. It is cancelled if a weather warning is in force at 22:00 the night before, and the decision is announced around 23:00 that night on the official site and the official Instagram (@kirara_marche). On clear days with strong wind (8 m/s or more) the call is made on site, so the announcement may come later.

How can I apply to run a stall?

Apply through the venue-specific stall application forms on the official site. Slots and fees differ for retail booths, food tents and kitchen cars, and venues that fill up switch to a waiting list. Stage performers apply through a separate form.
