Venue & access: Minna no Sakura Hiroba, Tegarayama Heiwa Park Train: walk from Tegara Station (Sanyo Electric Railway); the square is south of Tegara Elementary School with an entrance on the Tegara Station side. JR Tegarayama Heiwa Koen Station is also nearby. Car: Minna no Sakura Hiroba car park (35 spaces, 200 yen per visit); when full, use the Tegarayama No. 1 multi-storey car park to the north.

Why You Should Visit

A monthly Sunday open-air market at Minna no Sakura Hiroba, an inclusive playground inside Tegarayama Heiwa Park in Himeji. Six dates are planned from October 2026 to March 2027, with five left from November. Stalls sell puffed-rice sweets and takeout food, run medaka-fish and bouncy-ball scooping games, and offer handmade goods, while a small stage hosts kamishibai picture-story shows and kids' dance groups. Entry is free, and with the playground right there it suits families with young children who want a park day with a bit of festival flavor.

What happens if it rains?

It is cancelled in rain. The venue is an open-air square, so on an uncertain day check with the organizer by phone.

Is it good for families with kids?

Yes. There are medaka and bouncy-ball scooping games and a kamishibai show, and the square itself has inclusive playground equipment and a family restroom.

Can I drive there?

There is the Minna no Sakura Hiroba car park (35 spaces, 200 yen per visit). When it is full, the Tegarayama No. 1 multi-storey car park to the north is the alternative, though public transport is recommended.
