I visited in late April 2026. The direct bus from Seishin-Chuo Station costs around ¥230 and takes about 10 minutes. As you descend the wooden steps, a sunken valley full of blue nemophila blooms gradually comes into view. This year also marks the debut of night viewing. Below is a first-hand report covering ticket tips, what to wear on your feet, and the best times for photos.
After arriving at Seishin-Chuo Station (Kobe Municipal Subway), head to the west exit. On weekends and during Golden Week, a direct No. 120 bus departs from stop 4 and runs non-stop to "Kobe Winery (Agricultural Park)." IC cards are accepted.
There was already a line at the ticket counter at the entrance. Day-of tickets are sold on-site, but online purchase closes the day before. On hot days especially, it's worth buying in advance to avoid waiting outside in the sun.

The Blue World Unfolds the Moment You Reach the Hill
After picking up your ticket, walk past the souvenir shops and food trucks in the entrance area and head toward the Nemophila Hill. As you descend the wooden stairs, the blue flower field in the hollow basin slowly comes into view. Looking down from above reveals the full sweep of the field; by the time you reach the bottom, you're standing right at the edge of the blooms.

During my visit, some patches still had green showing, but the official site listed it as in peak bloom. The ground can be muddy in places and the paths are sloped, so sneakers or other comfortable shoes are strongly recommended over heels.

Peak Timing & Photography Tips
On clear days, the blue sky and flowers photograph best from morning through early afternoon. Overcast days give softer colors and a gentler mood in photos.
For the best shots, try two angles: a wide overhead view from the top of the stairs to capture the full sweep of the hill, and a low-angle close-up from the bottom with the flowers in the foreground. Even with a smartphone, getting low dramatically changes the feel of the shot.

The nighttime viewing (Fridays, Saturdays, and eves of holidays, 18:00–21:00) is new this year and is definitely worth noting. Sponsored by BLUE BATTERY caos, the staircase inside the venue is lit up in blue as the "BLUE BATTERY caos Road." The blue glow layered over the nemophila creates a dreamlike atmosphere unlike anything during the day. A daytime + nighttime combo ticket (adults ¥2,500) is also available.
Food, Drinks & Activities
Food trucks are set up inside the hill area, perfect for a rest mid-stroll. Thanks to the special sponsorship by car battery brand BLUE BATTERY caos, a collaboration menu item — the large nemophila soft serve (¥650) — has arrived. At 1.5 times the normal size, it makes quite a visual statement. The ice cream melts quickly (something may be mixed in for that blue tint), so start eating as soon as you get it. There are picnic-friendly spots near the hill, so bringing a mat for a relaxed sit-down is a good idea.

The broader complex also has BBQ (using Rokko-hime beef and Kobe pork from Kobe), a buffet restaurant, a pottery painting experience, and a street piano. The Agri Shop stocks Kobe wine and Tajima specialty products. Build in some time for the return visit.
