Why You Should Visit

KARUMORHYTHM is a music event held inside Tanaka Tsutomuho Shoten, a small factory on Karumojima in Kobe's Nagata ward that makes shanks, the stiffening part inside shoes. Doors open at noon and the music runs from 1 pm to 6 pm, with live sets from 里佳 with mapo tofu, Totan and Norainu Sextet and DJ YUSUKE TSURUKI on the factory floor. Entry is 1,000 yen, free for elementary school children and younger, and also free if you bring an item for the reuse auction. A good pick if you want to hear music somewhere you would normally never get inside, or are curious about the manufacturing workshops around Shin-Nagata.
