Why You Should Visit
Thirty-four independent bookshops and stationery stores, mostly from Kansai, gather at Toki-no-Hiroba above JR Osaka Station for this book-and-stationery market. It is the second Yomi no Ichi — the first was held at Tokyo's Meiji Park in February 2026 — and the first in Osaka. Stalls include Ogaki Shoten and Yohasha from Nishijin in Kyoto, picture-book specialist Nijino Ehonya and Ika Bunko, a bookshop with no shop, and you can chat with the owners as you browse. On the 18th the stage runs talks by booksellers and book influencers, and there are original goods including an official zine. Entry is free, so it's easy to drop in while shopping in Umeda.
