Why You Should Visit
A one-day farmers' market at the 2F Atrium Square of JR Osaka Station, run by JA Zen-Noh Hyogo, the prefecture's agricultural cooperative federation. It brings Hyogo's autumn produce to Osaka: Tamba-Sasayama black soybean edamame and chestnuts, Awaji Island onions, Tajima green peppers and Kobe-grown komatsuna greens. The headline is an all-you-can-stuff bag of Tajima peppers for ¥200, and buying two or more items including the featured vegetables gets you a free pack of Kenmin rice noodles. A chance to pick up Tamba black edamame, a seasonal Kansai favourite, right inside the station.
