Price & booking: Free admission (pay at each stall for food and goods) No booking needed; come and go freely. When crowded, numbered tickets may be handed out for the official booth and market area.
Venue & access: Okazaki Park (in front of Heian Jingu) About a 10-minute walk from Exit 1 of Higashiyama Station on the Tozai subway line, or right by the Okazaki-koen ROHM Theatre Kyoto / Miyakomesse-mae city bus stop. Nearby paid car parks fill up, so the organiser asks visitors to come by public transport.

There are 12 car parks within a 12-minute walk of Okazaki Park (in front of Heian Jingu), and 6 public restrooms within 8 minutes. The map shows each with its walking time.

Why You Should Visit

The 11th edition of a market built around "shopping as an escape from the everyday". Okazaki Park, ringed by Heian Jingu, ROHM Theatre and the Kyocera Museum, fills with select shops, brands and restaurants from Kyoto and Kansai, from Shizuoka where the market began, and from Tokyo. Three areas: apparel & goods, food & drink, and a flea market where shops and personalities sell their own wardrobes. Venue-only collab items and official goods are on sale. Friday evening on 2 Oct is a food-only preview night. Free to enter; a good fit if you want shopping and grazing in one afternoon.

Entry is free with no booking. You only pay for what you buy or eat.

What is open on the Friday eve, 2 Oct?

Only the food area is open, 17:00 to 21:00. The apparel and goods area is closed, so come on 3 or 4 Oct if you want to shop.

What happens if it rains?

It goes ahead in rain and is cancelled only in severe weather. It is an outdoor park, so bring rain gear and check the official Instagram on the day.

Can I pay in cash?

The official shop and some brands accept only credit cards, e-money and QR payments. It varies by stall, so having a cashless option ready is safest.
