Why You Should Visit

An early-evening ennichi fair along Taishosuji, the main shopping street of Shin-Nagata. Stalls run by the district's shops and community groups line the arcade, along with handmade game corners, drawing shoppers and local families. In the warm, down-to-earth mood of a district that rebuilt after the 1995 earthquake, you can enjoy a summer evening of stall food and games. It also caps off a Shin-Nagata walk taking in the Tetsujin 28 monument and the Three Kingdoms-themed streets. Held in the evening, so you can drop by out of the daytime heat.
