Why You Should Visit

Tadaoka, a small town in southern Osaka, holds its 48th annual carnival run by the local Chamber of Commerce and its Youth Division. Booths from neighbourhood shops, businesses and community groups fill the town sports ground with takoyaki, karaage, crepes and food trucks, alongside sales of clothing and fresh vegetables. The stage features a comedy show by Shochiku Geino comedians and a special danjiri (festival float) performance, and children can climb into a patrol car and fire engine display, bounce on an inflatable play area or join a kids' bingo game. Admission is free, making it an easy half-day outing for families exploring the Senshu area.
