Why You Should Visit

A free public festival held at two seaside venues in Kishiwada and Izumisano alongside the 45th National Convention for Rich Seas (Osaka). The official ceremony and fish-release events are invitation-only, but anyone can come to this festival. Both venues host talk shows featuring Shingo Murakami, Ayami Nakajo and Sakana-kun, displays of Japanese eels and juvenile fish, and sales of a special Osaka Bay seafood rice bowl, plus live streams of the ceremony. The Kishiwada venue doubles as the city's 40th agriculture festival, while Izumisano lines up local food booths. A good weekend outing for families and anyone curious about Osaka Bay seafood.
