Why You Should Visit

For the first time in Osaka Prefecture, Takatsuki hosts an officially sanctioned B-1 Grand Prix event, where community groups promote their towns through local comfort food. Eleven groups from across Japan set up in Ama Iseki Park near Takatsuki Station, serving dishes such as Fujinomiya yakisoba, Tsuyama hormone udon, Akashi tamagoyaki, Imabari pork-and-egg rice bowls and Takatsuki's own udon gyoza. It runs alongside the Ama Iseki Seido Festival, a local autumn tradition, with stage shows including a Himiko costume contest. Entry is free, making it an easy day out for food lovers and families.
