Why You Should Visit

A three-day beachside event with around 40 vendors at Suma Seaside Park built around the themes of sea and summer. The stalls are built as a long two-storey scaffold structure: shops on the ground floor, and an upper deck of seating with beer crates for tables. Admission — including the upper deck — is free, and the sea and Awaji Island sit right in front of you. Wagyu offal, yakitori and grilled seafood, ika-yaki, chilled mazesoba and shaved ice line the ground floor, making it an easy stop after a swim at Suma Beach or a visit to Kobe Suma Sea World.

FAQ

Is there an admission fee?
Admission is free. Food and game stalls are charged at each booth.
Can anyone use the upper deck?
Yes. The upper deck is free as well, with no seat charge or reservation. Buy from the shops on the ground floor, then take the stairs at the side of the stalls to any open seat.
Is it good for families with kids?
Yes — shaved ice, karaage and burgers are easy picks for kids, and the play booth "babuuun!" was on the lineup. The upper deck is free too, so it pairs well with Kobe Suma Sea World or a day at the beach.
Are the hours the same every day?
No — the first day (Fri, July 31) starts at 3 p.m., while Aug 1 and 2 start at 1 p.m. All days run until 9 p.m.
