Why You Should Visit

An evening market spread across Ecoll Lilas, the shopping center right by Okaba Station on the Shintetsu line. Stalls and kitchen cars fill three spots — the Stairside Plaza on 1F, Piano Hiroba on 2F and Fureai Hiroba on 3F — with music alongside. It starts at 4 p.m. on Friday and 2 p.m. on Saturday, running until 8 p.m. both days. The organizers are the Kobe Regional Revitalization Corps and the Hokushin Ward Office. The venue is a three-minute walk from the station, so you can time your visit for the cooler hours after sundown. It goes ahead in light rain and is cancelled in stormy weather, so check the official site for the call on the day.
