Why You Should Visit
Timed to "Honey Day" on August 3, this three-day summer festival takes over a working beekeeping farm in the hills of Kita Ward, Kobe. Expect festival-only honey menu items, comb honey sold by weight, a bee hotel workshop led by the farm's beekeepers, and the "Honeybee Chance" prize draw where every ticket wins. On the evening of Aug 1 there's the dog-friendly "Wanwan BEE Marche," and on Aug 2 a kids' festival-stall corner. A good day trip out of central Kobe for families and dog owners curious about bees.
