Why You Should Visit
Costumes that figure skater Kaori Sakamoto actually competed in are on display at the 1F Main Stage of Daimaru Kobe. Four outfits she wore on Olympic and World Championship ice — including "Hymne a l'amour," "Time To Say Goodbye" and "All That Jazz" — can be seen up close rather than through glass. The density of the embroidery and stones, and the way the fabric is pieced to follow her movement, are the details television flattens out. Viewing is free, so it is easy to drop in while shopping downtown.
