Why You Should Visit

Two days when yokai take over GIORNO, the shopping complex connected to Sakai-higashi Station. Inside, the Yokai Marché gathers makers selling yokai-themed goods and crafts; out on the front plaza, the fox calligrapher Ichinoshin writes with a brush nearly as tall as he is, and Sho Tsuji — seen on NHK E-Tele's "Nihongo de Asobo" — cuts three-dimensional yokai out of paper. There is also a workshop where children draw and cut out their own yokai to build a night parade over 10 metres long across the building, and a digital stamp rally hunting for yokai panels hidden in the shops. Everything is free to join.
