Price & booking: Free entry (vegetables, flowers, specialties, etc. are sold separately) No registration needed to enter. Only the priority seats for the character show require an advance lottery application, open from 9:00 on Mon, Oct 26 to 17:30 on Mon, Nov 16, via the priority seat application form.
Venue & access: Daisen Park, Event Plaza and Ikoi Plaza (Sakai-ku, Sakai) The nearest station is Mozu on the JR Hanwa Line. By car, park at the temporary lot (Sakai Industrial Promotion Center Parking Lot 2, limited spaces) and take the free shuttle bus from Nakamozu to Daisen Park (about every 30 min, approx. 15 min ride).

There are 1 car parks within a 12-minute walk of Daisen Park, Event Plaza and Ikoi Plaza (Sakai-ku, Sakai), and 4 public restrooms within 8 minutes. The map shows each with its walking time.

Why You Should Visit

Sakai's farm festival, now in its 51st year, fills Daisen Park on Labor Thanksgiving Day. At the Event Plaza, the Toretore Market sells vegetables grown in Sakai, alongside a flower market, traditional local crafts, and specialties from Sakai's friendship city Wajima. Over at Ikoi Plaza, local growers sell directly at "Sakai no Megumi" next to food booths. In the afternoon, a KATR, the same model of farm machine shown at Expo 2025 Osaka, gives a demo run built for steep and mountainous fields. With a character show and a stamp rally, it makes an easy family outing to stock up on local produce.

Is there an entry fee?

Entry is free, and the character show is free to watch. Vegetables, flowers and specialties are paid.

Do I need to book seats for the character show?

Anyone can watch, but priority seats are allocated by advance lottery. Applications run from 9:00 on Oct 26 to 17:30 on Nov 16.

Can I come by car?

Sakai Industrial Promotion Center Parking Lot 2 serves as temporary parking, with limited spaces. A free shuttle bus runs from there to Daisen Park about every 30 minutes (approx. 15 min ride).

Is it held in the rain?

The festival may be cancelled in heavy rain, and the KATR demo run is cancelled in heavy rain.
