Why You Should Visit

The 11th Lohas Park Sakai sets up on the Great Lawn of Oizumi Ryokuchi Park in Sakai's Kita Ward. Expect stalls of handmade homewares, woodwork, antique furniture, flowers, gardening goods and leathercraft, alongside slow food such as natural-yeast bread, baked sweets and organic vegetables, plus workshops in pottery, plant arranging and soap-making. Kids' booths add a festival-stall touch with bouncy-ball scooping and lucky draws. Around 16,000 visitors are expected over the two days. With plenty of lawn to spread out on, it is an easy early-winter outing for families who want to browse, snack and spend the day outdoors.
