Why You Should Visit

A free-entry Christmas market set out in German-style wooden huts across Tenshiba, the lawn at the entrance of Tennoji Park, and neighboring Tenshiba i:na. Twenty-four stalls, three of them new this year, serve German beer, hot drinks, sausages, goulash, stollen and more. Three large illuminated trees anchor the grounds, and 2026 adds new photo spots including a carousel and a tunnel of lights framed by Abeno Harukas. The 2025 edition drew around 295,000 visitors.

Is there an admission fee?

Admission is free. Food, drinks, goods and photos with Santa are paid.

Does it run in the rain?

Yes, it runs rain or shine, but it may be cancelled in severe weather.

Is it worth visiting if I don't drink?

Yes. Stalls also sell hot cocoa and other hot drinks plus sweets such as crepes, French toast and iced cookies, and there are photo spots like the trees and the tunnel of lights, a Santa House and workshops.
