Why You Should Visit

Pan Marche Maizuru turns the long covered Yashima Shopping Arcade in Higashi-Maizuru into a bread market for a day. Bakeries, pastry shops and coffee stands—mostly from northern Kyoto towns like Maizuru, Fukuchiyama and Ayabe, but also from Hyogo, Aichi and even Hokkaido—line the arcade from Sanjo to Hachijo streets, joined by handmade craft and workshop booths for a record 80 stalls in 2026. Entry is free, so you can stroll the arcade, compare breads and hunt for a one-off craft find. A good outing for bread lovers and families alike.
