Why You Should Visit

An autumn food fair in Ine, the Kyoto Prefecture town known for its funaya boathouses, where you can taste and buy produce from the town's farms, forests and fishing grounds. It runs for three hours, 10:00 to 13:00 on Sunday 8 November, at the former JA Ine branch. Expect free tastings and servings of local seafood and farm produce, a sales corner for regional specialities and a range of bazaar stalls. A handy late-morning stop if you are spending the day around Tango and want to see what Ine's sea and fields produce.

It may be cancelled at short notice because of rain or typhoons.

Can I get there by bus?

Take the Tankai bus (bound for Kamanyu or Kyogamisaki) from Amanohashidate Station, about 75 minutes, and get off at JA Ine Shiten-mae. The event ends at 13:00, so check the return bus times too.
