Take the Shinki Bus (via Kokuritsu Byoin-mae) and get off at "Keiunji-mae," right at the venue. By car, it's about 2km north of JR Himeji Station. The organizer states there is no dedicated parking — public transport is recommended. Streets around the venue are closed to vehicles, including bicycles, from 16:00–22:00.

Why You Should Visit

A summer festival in Himeji's Nozato district honoring Onatsu and Seijuro, a famous tragic love story from the Edo period. Keiunji Temple hosts bunraku puppet plays, kamishibai storytelling and a memorial rite, followed at 17:30 by a parade led by the Himeji Fire Department Band and performers dressed as Onatsu and Seijuro. In the evening, Nozato shopping street fills with night stalls, a stage show and a bon-odori dance circle.
