About a 1-minute walk from Shinsaibashi Station on the Osaka Metro Midosuji and Nagahori Tsurumi-ryokuchi lines. By car, it is on Midosuji itself; use the affiliated parking at Daimaru Shinsaibashi.

Why You Should Visit

For three days only, stalls built around Yume Silk — the sweet potato grown in Osaka — line the pavement along Midosuji. Rikuro Ojisan and Minoh Beer join Osaka Potato, the grower behind Yume Silk, selling imo-kenpi and financiers, and Yuri no Oimoyasan with pot-roasted sweet potatoes. It is part of Midosuji Challenge 2026, which opens up the street's pavement space, and runs alongside the OIMOSAN Festa inside Daimaru Shinsaibashi. Easy to drop into over the October long weekend.

FAQ

Does it run in the rain?
It is held outdoors on the Midosuji pavement, so it may be cancelled in rain. Check the Daimaru Shinsaibashi official site on the day.
Do I need a booking or a ticket?
It is an open-air market on the pavement, so no booking or admission fee is needed. Items are paid for at each stall's prices.
Where do I draw the Oimosan lottery?
You draw it by buying a participating item at the OIMOSAN Festa inside Daimaru Shinsaibashi. Visiting only the marche does not qualify.
