Why You Should Visit

Five nights, twenty minutes each — and Kobe's harbour lights up. Minato HANABI returns for its fifth anniversary with a run of fireworks every evening from October 19 to 23. Launched from a barge offshore Meriken Park and set to music, each display is brief but vivid against the nighttime skyline of Kobe Port. Entry to the park is free, making it an easy detour on the way home from work.
