KOBE AUTUMN FESTIVAL 2026

Changes on October 4

• The organisers say some content may change or be cancelled due to rain and wind
• The sports team booth is cancelled. The public viewing and the Storks cheer squad and Storkey appearances go ahead as planned
• The Kobe Finies Kids Cheer School performance is cancelled
• The sky lanterns are cancelled due to the weather
• The 19:45 drone show is also cancelled due to the weather

Three areas

• WATER FRONT AREA (Shinko Pier / Rinko Line): artist lives on the TOTTEI main stage and sports experiences
• SANNOMIYA AREA (Sannomiya Central Street): food and art, jazz and samba stages, the 2nd Kobe Great Tug-of-War in front of Ikuta Shrine on Oct 3, and sky lanterns on the evening of Oct 4 (advance registration)
• Kyomachi 'After-Expo Hyogo Legacy Festa' (hosted by Hyogo Prefecture): Hyogo Field Pavilion exhibits and experiences, food trucks, and 3-4 stage appearances a day by Myaku-Myaku, Habatan and Sufura

Experiences and exhibits

• Drone show: 19:45–20:00 both days at the TOTTEI main stage (LIGHTDANCe)
• Next-generation mobility: hydrogen car (Toyota Crown FCEV), EVs (Lexus, Toyota bZ4X and others) and micro-mobility (LUUP, C+walk, LIBEROTA)
• Pier shuttle: free shuttle running around the port
• KOBE FUTURE DRIVE ART PROJECT: Yoko Koga live-paints a classic car (sketching from 14:00 on Oct 3; main painting 11:00–13:40 on Oct 4)

• The festival shares the weekend with the Junior Chamber International Japan national convention (Oct 2–4); organisers expect about 100,000 visitors over two days

Traffic

• Sannomiya Central Street, Kyomachi-suji and the Shinko Pier road are closed to vehicles (Oct 3 0:00-22:00, Oct 4 7:00-24:00)
• The Sannomiya Central Street underground car park is closed both days; city bus routes 2 and 92 skip the Motomachi 1 and Shiyakusho-mae stops
