Venue & access: Kyoto Kameoka Hozugawa Park About 5 minutes on foot from the north exit of JR Kameoka Station (about 20 minutes from Kyoto Station by JR Sagano Line rapid).

Why You Should Visit

A two-day food festival celebrating Kameoka's farms and livestock, held at Kyoto Kameoka Hozugawa Park by JR Kameoka Station, the main site of the National Urban Greenery Fair in Kyoto Tamba. Look for charcoal-grilled Kameoka beef and croquettes, autumn produce such as Tamba black soybeans and Kujo green onions, and freshly harvested new-crop rice, plus wood and farming workshops. The stage runs taiko, dance and live music, and on November 1 local farmers and the mayor walk the runway in KAME WALK, a show of upcycled farm workwear. This year the festa grows from one day to two.
