Why You Should Visit

An autumn harvest festival in the castle town of Izushi. Known as the "fighting danjiri," the festival sees festival floats fitted with 17-meter poles crash into each other in the streets around the Izushi Castle ruins. Watching is free, and it pairs well with a day of Izushi soba and wandering the old town. Roads around the area are closed to traffic on the day.
