cost: Free entry. ARGO amphibious vehicle rides are ¥300 per ride; food and goods are sold at each stall
Venue & access: Sponic Park Ichinomiya There is no parking at the venue. Park at the Ichinomiya Minami Junior High School grounds or the Harima Ichinomiya Elementary School grounds, then take the shuttle bus (9:00–15:00) from in front of the junior high school gym. Only standard-size cars can park, and the road through Sponic Park is one-way heading south.

Why You Should Visit

A community festival held on Culture Day at Sponic Park Ichinomiya in Shiso's Ichinomiya area. The stage runs from local junior high brass bands and yosakoi dancers to the Himeji Shirasagi taiko drummers, and at 13:00 Shiso tourism ambassador Yuki Seguchi gives a kayo song show. Police cars, ambulances and decorated trucks line up in the working-vehicle area, and you can ride the amphibious ARGO vehicle. Neighbourhood food stalls and food trucks cover lunch, and the day closes with the traditional mochi and sweets toss, so it suits families looking for a full day out.

Is there parking?

Not at the venue. The grounds of Ichinomiya Minami Junior High School and Harima Ichinomiya Elementary School serve as temporary car parks, with a shuttle bus to the venue from 9:00 to 15:00. Only standard-size cars can park.

What time is Yuki Seguchi's show?

It starts at 13:00, right after greetings from the committee chair and the mayor at 12:50.

Is there anything for kids?

Yes: the working-vehicle display with police cars, ambulances and decorated trucks, ARGO amphibious vehicle rides (¥300 per ride), a bouncy dome and mineral digging. Balloon art runs twice, at 10:00 and 12:30.
