Why You Should Visit

Buy a 500-yen hashigo-cho passbook and you can drink your way around 102 participating venues in Himeji over a month. Each venue joins either as a senbero shop offering one dish plus one drink for 1,000 yen, or as a berobero shop with a special menu for 2,000 yen, and you get a stamp in the passbook at each stop. You can use the same venue up to three times. Collect 20 stamps and you can enter a prize draw with rewards from participating venues and sponsors. The point of the month is that it lets you try a fixed-price drink at places you would not normally walk into.

Can I visit the same venue more than once?

One passbook lets you use the same venue up to three times. The period runs from 1 to 31 October.

Can I join if I do not drink alcohol?

Set contents differ by venue. Whether a soft drink can be substituted varies, so ask at each venue when you arrive.
