Price & booking: Hashigo-cho passbook 500 yen. Senbero shops serve one dish plus one drink for 1,000 yen; berobero shops serve a special menu for 2,000 yen. The passbook is sold at the participating venues, at all Bon Marche supermarkets in the city, at VOX Shikama, and online. Purchase details are on the Himeji Hashigozake official site.

Why You Should Visit

Buy a 500-yen hashigo-cho passbook and you can drink your way around 102 participating venues in Himeji over a month. Each venue joins either as a senbero shop offering one dish plus one drink for 1,000 yen, or as a berobero shop with a special menu for 2,000 yen, and you get a stamp in the passbook at each stop. You can use the same venue up to three times. Collect 20 stamps and you can enter a prize draw with rewards from participating venues and sponsors. The point of the month is that it lets you try a fixed-price drink at places you would not normally walk into.
