Why You Should Visit

An autumn festival hosted around Yamasa Kamaboko in Yumesaki, Himeji, held the day before Kamaboko Day on November 15. The North Area in front of the Yumesenkan shop has Himeji oden, a local market of food, vegetables and crafts, and festival games, while the main stage hosts an Anpanman character show and a traditional monkey performance, and the factory's second floor holds Kamigata rakugo comic storytelling, all free to watch. In the South Area, the Yumeno Soba restaurant serves locally grown Yume soba, and a shuttle bus links the two areas. A good day out for families, or for anyone keen to taste Harima's local specialties.
