Price & booking: All seats are paid — there is no free viewing area. Stair seats ¥2,000 (elementary school and up) / sheet seats (3×3 m, 5–7 people) ¥10,000. Preschoolers are free if seated on a lap. Why You Should Visit

About 6,000 fireworks light up the night sky over Fukuchiyama from the banks of the Yura River. The 2026 theme is "JOY HERE." Plans include a citizen-led "people's fireworks" segment, a campaign offering free admission to 400 local students, special seating overlooking Fukuchiyama Castle, and the Fukuchiyama Odori dance. Around 50 food stalls line the venue. A great way to close out the summer, with fireworks framed by the river and the castle.

FAQ

Is viewing free?

There is no free viewing area. All seats are paid, and you cannot enter the paid area without a ticket and wristband (stair seats ¥2,000, sheet seats ¥10,000). You can see the fireworks from Hirokoji-dori, which is closed to traffic, but saving spots there is not allowed.

What happens if it rains?

The event is held in rain, but will be cancelled in severe weather. There is no rain date. The decision is made at 11:00 and 15:00 on the day and announced afterwards on the official site and social media.

What time does the venue open?

Gates open at 18:30 and you must be seated by 19:40. From 15:00 to 18:00 you can pick up your wristband early at GATE1 or GATE2 outside the venue for a smoother entry. Re-entry is allowed.

Is there parking?

Free parking is provided. For ticket holders: Fukuchiyama Civic Gymnasium, Showa Elementary, Junmei Elementary and Hokimaru Park. For general visitors: Sandanike Park and BOOKOFF Fukuchiyama Ekiminamimachi. All lots are open 16:00–22:00 and you must leave by 22:00.
