Why You Should Visit

A winter illumination that lights up Ayabe Gunze Square every evening from late November to the end of the year, with a tunnel of lights and decorated trees. Entry is free. Three event days add more: the lighting ceremony on 21 November, Santa World on 13 December and a Christmas event on 20 December, with food trucks and the local products shop open until 20:00. It's walkable from JR Ayabe Station and has parking, making it an easy winter evening stop for families.
